10 February 2010 - Day 2
- Strategic Sourcing in the New Economy: Strategic sourcing has always been important but the economic challenges of the past year have made it even more so as companies re-evaluate and optimize their organizational approach to managing expenditures. The track Strategic Sourcing in the New Economy would discuss the optimal sourcing model; key aspects of business functioning that need to change; sustaining the lessons from the recession; risk mitigation approaches; best practices and much more
- Get, Set, Go…Building Organizations with vision: Building a successful organisation is at the top of every CEO’s priority list. How do great organizations get built? From looking at highly successful companies today, it’s clear that these companies have gone from good to great for a variety of reasons – great branding, exceptional leadership or just opportune seizing of opportunity. This track brings together threads just as diverse - leading edge people management practices, execution strategy, brand advice among many other ideas. All these ideas will come together in one single day, at one venue, where a cross section of experts from Marketing, HR and leading CEOs will give you a clear strategic viewpoint on transforming your organisation.
- Emerging Opportunities: It’s the rainbow that everyone is chasing – where will the next big growth story spring from? The crippling recession in North America has also driven home the point that the ITES industry needs to de-link its dependence on this market. Companies attempting to uncover new growth areas need to consider both vertical segments and new geographies – and during this track we will look at, in detail, opportunities in two promising areas - healthcare and media/content creation. The session will also delve into one market segment where we are seeing a lot of action and interest – the Small and Medium Business (SMB) space. Our focus track will examine the early promise exhibited by this segment to see if it could potentially throw up tomorrow’s leaders.
11 February 2010 - Day 3
- Playing to Win in the New Economy: As business in key markets such as North America get back on the growth track, IT buyers are likely to remain influenced by strategies that were seeded during the recession. Buying outlooks will remain cautious with clients looking for IT vendors who offer the most value. When operating in an industry where all players are leveraging the same cost arbitrage, how do you make your value proposition stand out? Inversely, it’s also important to kick-start your own business from the rut of a slow recovery and here, innovation holds the key. But to foster innovation you may need to be more open to change, experimentation and embrace a little more risk. Across the sessions in this track, you will meet with suppliers, analysts and subject matter experts who will offer a bouquet of coaching tips to help you win in the new economy.
- Be a Phoenix: Why Transformational Change is important: Transformation is about re-invention. And that calls for companies to embrace disruptive change. In this track, speakers will dwell on how companies can prepare themselves to harness the energy of a disruptive change cycle. During the track we will also turn to look at companies that reinvented themselves during the recent downturn, literally by “thinking their way out of trouble” and by harnessing the energy that accompanies any upheaval to their own strategic advantage.
- Destination Bharat: Over the past year, we have seen Indian IT suppliers train their sights on the Indian domestic market. Even as it appears that the domestic play is becoming interesting to companies that so far only looked export-ward, it’s also apparent that IT buyers in India have also become savvy and sophisticated. To the degree that recent global CIOs rankings regularly feature Indian companies. During this track, some of India’s leading CIOs will lead discussions that will cover buying trends in India and delve deeper into the evolving buyer behaviour of the Indian CIO. No discussion on IT buy trends in India can exclude the Government which, like many of its counterparts worldwide, is investing heavily in technology. Key Government functionaries, also participating in this track, will shed light on the Government’s technology and investment priorities.
- Global CSR Conclave: The theme of the Global CSR track 2010 is ‘Engaging the Bottom of the Pyramid’. With half a billion people below the poverty line in India alone and over 4 billion worldwide, it is a pressing humanitarian and business imperative to find solutions for this global concern.
'Engaging the BOP’ will be the underlying theme behind an engaging agenda at NASSCOM Foundation’s Global CSR Conclave; to be held on 11th February at the NASSCOM India Leadership Forum 2010.
